Terms of service
Last updated 7 August 2026
These terms cover your use of [TAG]staq. Using the service means you accept them.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
What the service does — and does not do
[TAG]staq calculates sales tax based on the province you select and the rates we maintain. It is a tool, not an accountant. You remain responsible for what you invoice, what you charge, what you claim, and what you file with the CRA or a provincial authority. Check anything that matters against your own professional advice.
Your data belongs to you
Your clients, invoices and records are yours. You can export them, and you can delete them. We claim no ownership over the business information you put into the product.
Early access
The product is early. Features may change, and some things listed as planned may take longer or not arrive at all. Where something is not built yet, we try to say so plainly rather than imply otherwise.
Payment
Paid plans are billed in advance for the period shown at checkout. You can cancel at any time; cancelling stops future charges and moves your account to the free plan rather than deleting your records.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service to invoice for unlawful goods or services.
- Do not attempt to access another account or our infrastructure.
- Do not resell or rebrand the service as your own without a written agreement.
Availability
We work to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance will be announced where we reasonably can.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will say why where we are able to.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the province in which the service is operated and the applicable laws of Canada.
